About

Hi! My name’s Ana. I’m an EFL teacher in Recife (NE Brazil) and I’m interested in studying and supporting the work of TAs in Brazil and across the globe, ‘Internet willing’. And I hear you say, what are TAs? Here’s a brief definition:

“Teacher Associations (TAs) for English teachers are non-profit organisations run on a voluntary basis by committed professionals who set out to make a contribution to their profession. They aim at providing members with opportunities for networking and continued professional development, through academic and social gatherings, publications, and websites.” (Falcao, 2004)

If this interests you, please check back this space later, as we will be adding useful articles and materials to TAs. And if you have a question or a comment, please go ahead and post it to the forum.
